Here are some of the many ideas that came up in my class on how these two programs could be used in the classroom.  Please comment with any additional ideas that you come up with.
  • Procedures to follow in emergency situations - ex. fire drill
  • Flow chart for behavior plans
  • Character maps
  • Study guides
  • Science experiments
  • Game plans
  • Decision making
  • Time lines
  • Note taking

Lets hear from the rest of you.  Please click on comments and give us your ideas.

Welcome

After taking a Kidspiration/ Inspiration class from the University of Wisconsin Stout this winter I decided that I needed to assist teachers more in how these programs could be used in their curriculum.  So this blog site is part of my attempt to educate teachers to the value of these two programs.  I will try to post tidbits of Kidspiration/Inspiration hints, along with templates, tutorials and hopefully lots of ideas from classroom teachers.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with these titles:  Kidspiration is designed for grades K-5 and Inspiration is designed for grades 6 and above.  Both programs have similar features.  They are designed for scaffolding activities, graphic organizers and concept maps.  With the click of the mouse students can go from viewing their diagram visually to an outline form and then back again to a visual diagram.  Graphics, sound, videos and website links can all be included.  What a great deal!  Check out some examples on the left hand side of the screen.
